Our Walks

They say you can never fully understand somebody until you have walked a mile in somebody else’s shoes.

We can, however, spend enough time walking alongside someone and listening to them that their shoes begin to seem familiar to us. Until our feet begin to ache as well. If you keep doing this, you won’t ever wonder whether justice is worth fighting for. Because genuine advocates for justice stand close enough to those who suffer to observe how they manage to walk despite having holes, rips, and tears in their shoes. They can see that their feet hurt and are covered in impressive blisters.
